THE STATE REPRESENTATIVE ADMINISTRATION

State Representative-Governor in Imereti Region – Shavlego Tabatadze held a meeting with the representatives from Khoni and Tskaltubo municipalities. The governor underlined the role of local self-governments and underlined that it is important to have a clear vision for municipal development.

“We should serve the general public. They have a trustful attitude towards us and we should do our utmost to justify their trust. The reason that each mayor or municipal assembly members were elected in 2017 was that the voters opted for a better future. I propose to implement the activities jointly, group based, effectively and responsibly. I am ready to work around the clock, in order to contribute to the development of Imereti region” – noted Governor Tabatadze.

Within the meeting, the governor initiated establishment of local councils in all 12 municipalities, where the people of various backgrounds will be involved and actively participate in governing their own region or city.
