In 2017 in total 123.855.228 GEL were paid in infrastructural projects in Imereti region. Major share of this amount was spent on road infrastructure development, which included central roads, as well as inter/intra village passages.
Other infrastructural priorities included building/rehabilitation of kindergartens, hospitals, cultural centers and improvement of tourist infrastructure. Additionally, substantial efforts were made to improve irrigational systems, providing the population with water, natural gas and electricity.
