World Water Day is an annual observance day on 22 March to highlight the importance of freshwater.  It is also used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. World Water Day is celebrated around the world with a variety of events.

Water resources protection campaign was celebrated by Tskaltubo and Bagdati Municipalities, who in 2017 became the members of the European Historic Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA).

Vice-Governor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili attended the events dedicated to World Water Day in Tskaltubo.

“It is of great importance that Imereti Region is represented in EHTTA by Tskaltubo and Bagdati Municipalities. These municipalities are included in the European cultural routes. Today’s events were joined by many young people, which will result in their awareness rising and benevolence towards such a vital resource as water” – said Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
