THE STATE REPRESENTATIVE ADMINISTRATION

On March 21, celebrating the International Day of Forests, trees were planted in Kutaisi. Jointly the representatives from the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Administration of the State Representative-Governor in Imereti Region, local self-government and the National Forest Agency planted about 200 oak and coniferous trees. The First Deputy Governor Grigol Dalakishvili  and Deputy Governor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili planted trees together with the children with down syndrome.

March 21 was declared as the International Day of Forests by the General Assembly of the UN, and aims at awareness rising of the importance of all types of woodlands and trees, and celebrate the ways in which they sustain and protect us.
