THE STATE REPRESENTATIVE ADMINISTRATION

On March 2, the meeting was held at the Imereti Regional Administration within the new initiative of the EU “Mayors for Economic Growth” (M4EG). “Mayors for Economic Growth” is the new initiative of the EU for the Eastern Partnership countries, which started to operate in January, 2017. The goal of the initiative is to assist the Eastern Partnership mayors and municipalities to play more proactive role in economic growth and create new jobs in their respective municipalities. It was attended by the State Representative-Governor in Imereti Givi Chichinadze, First Deputy Governor Grigol Dalakishvili, Vice-Governor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, Mayors of Imereti Municipalities who are the members or potential members of the project.

Representatives of the Secretariat of the project “Mayors for Economic Growth” talked about the products available to the M4EG club members in order to foster economic growth and create new jobs.

By the end of the meeting member municipalities of the club were granted M4EG club membership certificates.
