THE STATE REPRESENTATIVE ADMINISTRATION

Sachkhere Municipality celebrated “Sachkherloba 2017” public festivity and 125 anniversary of the prominent Georgian poet Paolo Iashvili. Various events were organized to mark this day: literature compositions, performances, photo exhibition, book market, and etc. The State Representative-Governor in Imereti Givi Chichinadze, Vice Governor in Imereti Ioseb Khakhaleishvili and Chairman of Sachkhere Municipality Malkhaz Bazadze, together with other guests joined the festive events and visited specially organized ethnic corners, where the handmade folk products and local cuisine was displayed.

Today, exposition hall was opened in the village Skhvitori, which was rehabilitated by the Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection of Georgia, and cost 470.776 GEL. The hall displays photo materials, illustrating the life of Akaki Tsereteli. Majority of the photos are unknown to the public. As for the 125 Anniversary of Paolo Iashvili, the new memorial plate was installed on the Museum of the poet and the new public garden after Paolo Iashvili was opened ion Sachkhere.

Within “Sachkherloba 2017”, honorary citizens of Sachkhere were named and awarded special certificates. The event concluded with the concert by the local artists and fireworks.
