THE STATE REPRESENTATIVE ADMINISTRATION

New Music and Art School has been established in Sachkhere, along with the Library for Children. The school will enroll about 300 pupils. It will include classes for folk songs and dances, as well as various art groups.

The new school was opened by the Minister for Regional Development and Infrastructure Zurab Alavidze and the State Representative-Governor in Imereti Givi Chichinadze. Vice Governor in Imereti Ioseb Khakhaleishvili and Chairman of Sachkhere Municipality Malkhaz Bazadze also attended the event.  The opening ceremony was marked by music performances and exhibition.

The building was heavily damaged by the earthquake in the 90s, which made it impossible for the school to fully function. Music and art pupils had to visit different buildings instead. This has been the most large scale project in Sachkhere for the recent period. It was funded from the Regional Projects Development Fund and cost up to one million GEL.
