''Suliko 2023'' Georgian lyrical song festival was opened
The jubilee week of "Zestafonkalakoba" was opened with the festival of Georgian lyrical song "Suliko 2023".
The opening ceremony was attended by Zviad Shalamberidze, the State Representative of Imereti, Vasil Gvelesiani, the Mayor of Zestafoni, and other invited guests.
The musical artists presented a concert program at the renovated theater of Tskhratskaro. Individual and choir performers were evaluated by a special jury (Matsatso Sebiskveradze, Nutsa Janelidze, Roma Rtskhiladze). The grand prize was awarded to the Zestafoni ensemble "Bermukha", and the first place to the Terjola ensemble "Yame". Winners in various nominations were awarded with symbolic gifts.
Musical performers from Imereti municipalities participated in the Georgian lyrical song festival.
The festival "Suliko" has been held since the 80s. In the same period, to host the festival, an open theater was organized in Tskhratskaro.
The song "Suliko" has a special place in the history of Georgian culture and art, the birthplace of which is one of the villages of Zestafoni. This immortal melody is loved not only in Georgia, but all over the world.
