On June 17-18, Kutaisi will host ''Gemo Fest''.
Organized by the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, the third festival in a row is being held in Imereti.
The festival was attended by Zviad Shalamberidze, State Representative in Imereti, Genadi Arveladze, Deputy Minister of Economy, Maya Omiadze, Head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, Zaza Lominadze, Kutaisi Majority Member of Parliament, Kutaisi Mayor Ioseb Khahaleishvili and other local government representatives.
This year, 17 facilities from Kutaisi, Vani, Tskaltubo, Terjola, Zestafoni, Fersvi, Argveta and Sazano are participating in the "Gemo Fest" from Imereti.
"Gemo Fest" is taking place in Kutaisi, in the square named after Veriko Anjaparidze.
Food space, grill area, business and wine market, rest area and photo zones were organized at the festival location. Various cognitive and entertaining activities for children were held. A DJ plays throughout the day and both evenings will end with a concert.
Participants of the gastronomic festival have the opportunity to present both traditional and rare and little-known Imeretian dishes.
The purpose of "Gemo Fest" is to promote local cuisine in the regions, support entrepreneurs/families, and increase the flow of domestic and international travelers.
The partners of the festival are Imereti Destination Management Organization and Kutaisi International Airport.
