In Imereti, State Representative Zviad Shalamberidze and Kutaisi Mayor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili met with Israel's Ambassador to Georgia, Hadas Ester Meitsad. The parties discussed various directions and future mutual cooperation.

"Different municipalities of Imereti have friendly cities in Israel. The fact that the new Israeli ambassador is involved in the future cooperation between Imereti and Israel in general is welcome. I hope we will implement very interesting projects together.

At today's meeting, it was announced that cooperation between Kutaisi International University and various Israeli educational structures is starting, which I think will have a positive impact on both the university and our city" - Zviad Shalamberidze.

The meeting also focused on the tourism potential and business environment in the region.
