"The new wastewater treatment facility of Tskaltubo is a modern standard facility that fully meets the current and future requirements.
Also, in the municipality, the water supply network of Tskaltubo and three villages is being built, the infrastructure works for the expansion of the water supply network and metering are underway.

In Tskaltubo, a modern standard wastewater treatment plant is already functioning. Construction works were carried out by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure.

The project was implemented with a grant from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the support of the World Bank. In total, 12 million GEL was spent on the project.

The operation of the new wastewater treatment plant is important from an ecological point of view. The waste water in the river, in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulations, will be biologically cleaned and filtered, which will solve the long-standing problem of river pollution.

Rehabilitation and construction projects of the water supply network are also actively underway in Imereti. In total, about 20 projects worth more than 1 billion GEL are being implemented. After the completion of the works, 90,000 beneficiaries will benefit from 24-hour water supply.

Irakli Karseladze visited the water treatment plant along with Zviad Shalamberidze, the State Representative in the Imereti area, and Aleksandre Tevdoradze, director of the United Water Supply Company.
