Due to the difficult meteorological conditions, intensive works were carried out throughout the night on the 132-163 km of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway.

Representatives of various departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and rescuers of the emergency management service were mobilized on the spot in order to unblock the obstructed traffic in a timely manner and move the citizens safely.

The employees of the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, with the help of heavy machinery, carried out intensive cleaning of the road from snow throughout the night.

Until now, the work process on the ground is being led by the director of the patrol police department - Vazha Siradze and the State Representative in Imereti - Zviad Shalamberidze.

At present, the said section of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway has been cleared, light vehicles, along with passengers, have safely left the area of the Rikoti pass.

By this time, the traffic was gradually restored.
