THE STATE REPRESENTATIVE ADMINISTRATION

Imereti State Representative Zviad Shalamberidze and Kutaisi Mayor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili were on an official visit to Poland.

The visit took place within the framework of the cooperation between the Imereti side and the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, and the main goal was to deepen the relations between the academic circles.

Also, Rector of Kutaisi International University Aleksandre Tevzadze and Chancellor Magda Maghradze were on an official visit to Poland.

The main topic of the visit was to get acquainted with new methods and technologies of cancer treatment, as well as to share the news in the friendly region in the field of natural science and engineering.
The members of the Georgian delegation got acquainted with the work of several medical, research and educational institutions. They also visited the Copernicus University of Toruń and the Technical University of Bydgoszcz, where they visited the laboratories and talked about exchange programs within the framework of "Erasmus", cooperation of scientists within the framework of "Horizon Europe" and the summer exchange program of students.

The mentioned visit laid the foundation for cooperation between Kutaisi International University and Kuyawo-Pomeranian University, as well as friendship between Kutaisi and Toruń.

A return visit of representatives of Polish scientists and academic circles to Kutaisi was planned in order to deepen these relations and make them more effective for both sides.
