The State Representative in Imereti Zviad Shalamberidze held an official meeting with the Polish delegation
The State Representative Zviad Shalamberidze, together with First Deputy Levan Sanikidze and Mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, held an official meeting with the Polish delegation.
The parties shared information in different directions and discussed the practice of successful projects.
Zviad Shalamberidze thanked the Polish delegation for their support on the way to European integration and noted that their role in this matter is very important for Georgia and the Georgian people.
At the meeting, he also spoke about the financial support of the European Union and the projects that are implemented within the framework of the integrated development program of the pilot regions. In this direction, infrastructure projects worth 69,656,927 GEL have been financed in the region.
"Another step forward in the Georgian-Polish relationship is the opening of the monument to the first president of Poland, Vladislav Rachkiewicz, who was born and grew up in Kutaisi. Today, we are being visited by representatives of the highest authorities from Poland, and it was with their help that we implemented this project in Kutaisi. Besides, we had an official meeting where we shared with each other the successful examples of the projects implemented by Poland with the help of the European Union, as you know, various projects are also implemented with the help of the European Union grant in the Imereti region, and their experience is very important for us" - Zviad Shalamberidze.
Within the framework of the visit, the conversation touched on the future cooperation between Kutaisi International University and leading Polish universities.
The meeting was held at the "Imereti Destination Management Organization", the members of the delegation also received information about the tourist potential of the region and the city, existing cultural monuments and locations.
