A grant agreement was signed between the Embassy of the United States of America and Construct2 at the Construction College "Construct2" in Zestafon.
Within the framework of the grant, the main goal of Construct2 is to raise awareness among schoolchildren about vocational education and vocational education opportunities and to increase the involvement of female students in male-dominated programs.
At the meeting, The State Representative in Imereti Zviad Shalamberidze spoke about the development of the vocational school and how to get young people interested, and also emphasized the need for closer cooperation between "Construct2" and public institutions. The State Representative thanked the commissioner of the US Embassy for his support.
The meeting was attended by: representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America, the head of the Department of Professional Education Development, representatives of the construction company "BK Construction" and the local authorities.
“Construct2” was created in 2017 and is a joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and “BK Construction”. The college is focused on popularizing and increasing access to professional education in the country, as well as developing professional culture, training qualified personnel in line with labor market requirements, and promoting employment.
