Imereti hosts the families affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine
Imereti hosts children from the families of the victims of the war in Ukraine who are visiting Georgia with their parents.
Zviad Shalamberidze, The State Representative in Imereti, met the guests and provided detailed information about the planned tour throughout the region. More than 30 Ukrainian war-affected guests will learn about the historical, cultural and ethnographic features of Imereti. As part of the tour, they will visit the Motsameta and Gelati monasteries, the Prometheus cave, and a master class of Imeretian dishes will be held for children.
On the initiative of the The Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, as well as General Consul in Odessa, Tornike Berekashvili, Georgia is hosting more than 30 Ukrainian guests affected by the war. Children and their educators are residents of Irpin, Bucha, Kherson, South Odessa.
During 10 days, Ukrainian children and their educators visit different corners of Georgia.
