THE STATE REPRESENTATIVE ADMINISTRATION

The State Representative in Imereti Zviad Shalamberidze, Deputies: Levan Kiknavelidze and Besik Gopodze met with representatives of the regional service to intensify preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus.

At the meeting, the State Representative heard information about the general epidemiological situation in Imereti and also got acquainted with the statistics on the extent to which enterprises, grocery stores, food establishments and other types of institutions comply with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health. As Zviad Shalamberidze noted at the meeting, it is important that the recommendations are taken into account and followed as much as possible in all schools and preschool institutions both before the start of the study and during the learning process. Zviad Shalamberidze called on the relevant services to tighten the control and monitoring of the regulations established to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the region. Also, local governments should move to a more active mode of communication with citizens and provide information about expectable threats.
