THE STATE REPRESENTATIVE ADMINISTRATION

Representatives of local authorities and civil society discussed regional development issues at a meeting in Kutaisi today. The main topic of discussion was "The Impact of the Covid-19 Outbreak on the Local Economy: Challenges and Ways to overcome them." Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, First Deputy State Representative in Imereti, Imereti region mayors, public officials, non-governmental organizations and local entrepreneurs were involved in the dialogue. During the meeting, the stakeholders spoke about the challenges and prospects for the development of the Imereti region. The invited expert Kakhaber Daushvili introduced the participants: "Ways to overcome the economic problems caused by the epidemic and the negative consequences." The meeting was held within the framework of the project "Civil Society Development Initiative". The project is funded by the European Union (EU) and co-financed by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS).
