The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure in Imereti continues to work on infrastructure projects financed from the fund of projects to be implemented in the regions. In 2020, the total budget of infrastructure projects in the Imereti region amounted to 119 019 800 GEL. The amount allocated by the fund for projects to be implemented in the regions is 71,271,047 GEL. Ilia Begiashvili, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Zviad Shalamberidze, State Representative in Imereti got acquainted with the ongoing works on the spot. The projects funded by the regional fund include: rehabilitation of roads in the village of Tskaltubo, rehabilitation of the road in Partskhanakanebi with concrete pavement, complete rehabilitation of a sports school and sports complex in Vani, construction of a kindergarten in the village of Dimi, rehabilitation of the connecting road of Shuamta-Tobanieri, etc. "According to the 2020 regional development fund budget, more than 71 million GEL has been allocated in Imereti, which finances about 240 projects, focusing on different types of projects in different municipalities, in some cases these are roads, gardens and water supply projects. It should be noted that despite the two-month pause caused by the COVID pandemic, the pace is quite high, some projects are actually completed, some are in the completion phase, "- said Ilia Begiashvili. "Infrastructure works are being actively carried out in all twelve municipalities of Imereti, we are periodically monitoring that our citizens get the work done according to the set standard," said Zviad Shalamberidze, State Representative in Imereti.
