State Representative in Imereti Zviad Shalamberidze, Acting Mayor of Kutaisi Davit Eremeishvili and Commander of the 3rd Infantry Brigade, Colonel Malkhaz Kalmakhelidze congratulated the military servicemen of the 3rd Infantry Brigade on Georgia's Independence Day. Addressing the speech, they stressed the importance of independence for the country and the prospects for the country's development, and thanked the military for their contribution to freedom and peace. The event began with a Georgian national anthem, before which the brigade leadership and local authorities laid a wreath at the Heroes' Memorial and honored a minute of silence in memory of the country's independence and freedom fighters, as well as the memory of Georgian fighters killed in international missions.
Georgia's Independence Day celebrations in the 3rd Infantry Brigade ended with the awarding of the military and an exhibition of military equipment.
