Enterprises in the Imereti region operate in full compliance with world health recommendations and safety standards.
Zviad Shalamberidze, State Representative in Imereti, together with Tskaltubo Mayor and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, are getting acquainted directly in the field with the working procedures of the enterprises operating under emergency conditions.
The Herbia company, which manages the greenhouse, has not stopped working. The greenhouses are cultivated on 3 hectares in Tskaltubo. In addition, the company has a warehouse-refrigerator and a packing workshop, equipped with modern equipment and production lines. All products manufactured under the Herbia trademark comply with international food safety standards and environmental requirements. As part of the "Produce in Georgia" program, "Herbia" expanded its network of greenhouses last year, as well as opened a plant for processing herbs and vegetables. As a result, the production of ecologically clean products has doubled.
Georgian company "Herbia" currently produces 30 different types of herbs and vegetables. Ecologically clean products grown without chemicals are sold in both Georgian and foreign (Bulgarian) markets.
The greenhouse employs more than 100 local residents, and they work in emergency situations, at a distance and according to recommendations.
Despite the state of emergency in the country, agricultural work is actively underway in the region.
Entrepreneurs who work in the field of agricultural development fully comply with safety standards and employees are equipped with the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
