Zviad Shalamberidze, State Representative in Imereti, went to the Regional Division of the National Center for Disease Control and heard about the prevention and control of infections. The State Representative noted at the meeting that the hospital sector has a major role to play in the fight against coronavirus, and therefore it is necessary to be fully prepared for the region's medical sector, especially fever centers, to provide valuable services to patients as needed.

Fever centers were set up in Kutaisi and Samtredia in the Imereti region, also work is underway at the Terjola Medical Center. The goal of the so-called Fever Centers is to better manage the situation with the new coronavirus.

Family and rural doctors are ready to take trainings and be actively involved in dealing with the problems caused by fever.

In terms of mobilizing the thermal screening process, including the primary health care system, family and rural doctors, the state representative receives information on a daily basis throughout the region and responds to decisions made within the framework of the state of emergency in the country.
