State Representative’s working visit to Ukraine continues

During the work visit in Ukraine Zviad Shalamberidze, State Representative in Imereti, together with Consul of Georgia in Odessa Tornike Berekashvili , met Georgians living there, in the Georgian Cultural Center.

Zviad Shalamberidze spoke extensively about ongoing projects in Imereti and emphasized the importance of rehabilitation of Tskaltubo, after which 15,000 to 20,000 people will be employed and construction of Kutaisi International University, where will be available to take European-level education.

The State Representative called on Georgian Diaspora representatives to return to Imereti as he said a truly new era had begun for the region, which was characterized by infrastructure projects, lifestyles, which was fueled by the growth of tourism and economic growth.

Zviad Shalamberidze suggested that economic success in the region today would boost employment and prosperity across the country.

The meeting was attended by a representative of the NGO "Children Want Peace" Lilia Grychulevich, who asked the State Representative in Imereti to organize children's camps where young people of different nationalities would gather, talk about peace, friendly relations, patriotic, cognitive and entertaining events. She said such camps would promote friendship between Georgian and Ukrainian children and develop patriotism among adolescents.

The meeting was also attended by the Director of Construction College "Construct 2" Tamar Zakarashvili.

She spoke about accessibility and prospects of vocational education for Georgian citizens, ongoing reforms in this field. Tamar Zakarashvili briefed Georgian immigrants on the possibility of vocational training and retraining programs in Georgia and the prospect of immediate employment.

The meeting continued in question and answer mode. Representatives of the Diaspora questioned the state representative, about the construction of the electric car manufactoring factory in Kutaisi, Zviad Shalamberidze talked detailed about that subject.

In addition, Zviad Shalamberidze addressed to the assemblies to attend the "Gvirloba" in Kutaisi on May 2, which will be celebrated this year with various events and will be attended by delegations from several countries.

At the end of the  meeting, Georgian Consul in Odessa Tornike Berekashvili proposed that such meetings be held frequently.
