On the occasion of the Georgian Flag Day, State Representative in Imereti Zviad Shalamberidze together with Deputy Besik Gofodze visited Kutaisi Cadet Military lyceum named after General George Kvinitadze and congratulated the cadets on the Day of Georgian Flag.

The State Representative and Colonel of the Military lyceum Shalva Dzindzibadze raised a state flag in the solemn ceremony at the Lyceum in amid of the Georgian anthem.

"Congratulations on the Georgian flag day, the flag is a symbol of our unity, strength, victories, freedom. The flag preserves our heroic and glorious past, as well as gives the power and faith of the future. It is of utmost importance to every citizen that we carry the flag, congratulations and wish all of you to have the flag of victory repeatedly in all areas, "- said Shalamberidze to journalists.

The National Flag Day of Georgia, according to the decision of the State Council of Heraldry, is celebrated every year on January 14, since 2012.
