Presentation of project for construction of plant producing electric cars was held in Kutaisi. Multimedia show was held at the beginning of the event, after which Minister of Economy Natia Turnava, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "aigroup" Kakha Guledani, other representatives of the company, as well as Zviad Tsikolia, designer of industrial and vehicles,  give speech to the audience.

According to the Minister, the production of the first high-tech, ecologically pure, Georgian, Kutaisi-based electric vehicles in the region will begin.

"Not long ago, Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze announced and promised Georgia that soon we will become the first manufacturer of electric vehicles in the region. Today I have the honor to announce this project and say that we are fulfilling this promise. Georgian company" Aigroup ", one of the industry in the region. With the help of the leader Chinese company "Changan" launches electric cars first plant ", - said Natia Turnava.

According to the information given by the head of the company "Aigroup" Kakha Guledani", the industrial group "Aigroup" is starting the construction of an industrial complex in Kutaisi, which will be located on the area of 100 hectares.The first project includes an electric car manufacturing factory, where about 300 local residents will be employed at the initial stage, while the productivity of the factory will be 5000 electric cars.
