Zviad Shalamberidze the first deputy of state representative in Imereti and Ioseb Khakhaleishvili deputy of state representative in Imereti meet with Carl Hartzell Ambassador of EU to Georgia. At the meeting the region representatives briefed to Ambassador on the potential of the tourism development in Imereti and generally discussed about the opportunities of the region in various fields. According to Carl Hartzell, Imereti will be one of the EU's target regions. Specifically, the program funded by the EU starts in 2020. Four regions have already been selected for the Regional Development Program of Georgia, including Imereti.
