Late last night in the Kharagauli municipality, the rivers Chkherimela and Legnhula flooded, due to the strong rain, causing damage to both municipal and private infrastructure in the villages of Kharagauli.

Representatives of Imereti regional and local self-government and rescue teams were in the disaster zone all night.

An emergency headquarters has been set up at Kharagauli City Hall, headed by Nikoloz Topuridze, the Mayor of Kharagauli.

Road cleaning works are currently under way with special equipment in the village of Leghani, Mareli, on the road connecting Moliti-Chumateleti, where a landslide has been averted. Two groups of emergency headquarters are involved in counting the damage, the representatives of which are in the villages.
