30 years have passed since the tragedy of April 9, 1989. First Deputy State Representative in Imereti Zviad Shalamberidze, Deputy Representative Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, local government officials and citizens laid flowers and paid homage to the memory of the victims at the April 9 memorial in Tskaltubo. Also, the literary performance was held and the footage shot 30 years ago was presented.
The events dedicated to April 9 are held in 12 municipalities of Imereti region.
