On April 2, World Awareness Day on Autism is celebrated. There are many events planned to be held in Imereti region on this occasion. Zviad Shalamberidze, First Deputy State Representative, arrived in Tskaltubo and took part in the activities together with children and handed them symbolic gifts, together with the heads of the Tskaltubo municipality.

World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day on 2 April every year, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about people with Autism Spectrum Disorder throughout the world.

Imereti region joins on this day and aims to increase awareness of Georgian society on autism and to ensure the realization of fundamental rights the  people on the autism spectrum.
